Introduction
A card installed in your customers' Wallet lets you send them Wallet notifications at any time. To maximize the number of installs, combine three levers: an offer that makes customers want to install the card, a card that is visible on your site and a recruitment campaign with a direct install link.
1. Prepare an install offer
Give your customers a concrete reason to add the card. For example: "ā¬5 off your next order when you add the loyalty card to your Wallet".
Automate the reward
In Automations, create an automation:
Trigger: Card added (Wallet).
Action: Grant a reward, for example a ā¬5 voucher. The code is created directly in your customer's account and remains subject to the redemption conditions you have configured in Loyoly.
Action (optional): Send a wallet push to confirm the install, for example: "Your card has been added successfully ā Your reward is waiting for you in your customer account on our website."
š” You can also reward the install with points using the Add the Loyalty Card to Your Wallet mission.
2. Make the Wallet accessible on your site
Multiply the places where your customers can add their card:
In the customer account: add the Loyoly extension dedicated to the Wallet from your Shopify theme editor (see Extension: New Customers Account).
On the loyalty page: turn on the dedicated mission for adding the card.
On a landing page: create a dedicated page that highlights your offer and explains the two steps to follow: log in to their account, then add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
3. Recruit by email with the direct link
With the direct install link, your customers add their card in one click, without logging in. In Klaviyo, create a personalized link for each customer by adding #wallet= to your site's URL, followed by the Loyoly_Referral_Id variable.
Example:
https://www.your-brand.com#wallet={{person|lookup:"Loyoly_Referral_Id"|default:''}}On click:
On desktop, the customer lands on your site and scans the QR code shown with their phone.
On mobile, they are redirected to their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet to confirm the install in one click.
For details on the link formats, see Wallet Settings ā Distributing the card with a direct install link.
š” Best practice: announce the offer in the email subject line and put the link on a clearly visible button. The fewer steps your customer has to take, the higher the install rate.
