Introduction
Loyoly's checkout extensions are designed to give more visibility to the rewards of your loyalty program.
Integrate each extension into the checkout process to let customers enjoy a seamless experience and make the most of points and rewards.
📝 These two extensions are available only with Shopify Plus and with loyalty enabled.
Available extensions
Points extension
Showing potential loyalty points at checkout gives your customers an extra incentive to complete a purchase and to explore the benefits of your loyalty program.
Members and guests will see the banner with the number of points they can earn by buying the products. Points are calculated according to the settings chosen in Loyoly.
Reward extension
By integrating reward redemption at checkout, customers are encouraged to redeem their rewards more often, which boosts engagement and encourages repeat purchases.
If the customer arrives at checkout as a guest, the extension will display an invitation to log in or create an account to join your loyalty program.
Once logged in, the page shows the available points and a drop-down list where the customer can select the rewards they can redeem with their current balance, or the rewards they have already claimed.
3. Once the customer has chosen a reward, Loyoly deducts the points from the balance and generates a discount code that is automatically added to the order.
📝 Note:
For the Buy X Get Y reward to work correctly, the customer must meet the following conditions:
Buy a product in the right collection
Reach the minimum required amount
Add the free product to the cart so that the promo code applies correctly

The purchase conditions are met
The product in question has no variants.
Customizing the wording of the Checkout points extension
You can now customize the texts displayed by Loyoly's Checkout points extension to match your brand's tone and language. Customization is done directly from the Loyoly Shopify extension, without going through support.
Each text field is pre-filled with a default value that you can edit freely (within the allowed character limit).
Which texts can you edit?
On the checkout points extension, you can edit all of the texts:
💡 You can customize the wording for two distinct cases: when the customer is logged in and when they are not logged in. Each case is configured independently.
⚠️ Important — no automatic translation: the texts you customize in the checkout are not translated into your store's other languages. Shopify blocks this behavior: the customized wording is displayed as-is, in the language you entered it, regardless of the customer's language.
Inserting the number of points
You can include the points number variable in your texts (for example on the Points extension), to dynamically display the points the customer can earn. The variable is used in liquid format.
📝 Good to know about how changes are applied:
The description is updated Live: the change appears immediately on the payment page.
For the other fields (for example the title), you need to save and then refresh the page to see the change applied.
How to install the extensions?
Go to your Shopify back office, then Online store.
Then click Customize
Click Home page at the top and choose Checkout.
At the bottom left, add the extensions from the Add app block button. The blocks position themselves automatically.
Don't forget to save!
Frequently asked questions
My customer redeemed points by mistake, what can I do?
If your customer redeemed points but never paid for the order with the discount, you can search for the customer in your Loyoly CRM and refund the points in their profile.
Can I add both extensions?
Yes of course, the two are even complementary.
